Police Reshuffle After Golakganj Lathi-Charge Incident

Following the brutal lathi-charge on Koch-Rajbongshi protesters in Golakganj, Dhubri police ordered a major reshuffle.

Inspector Navajyoti Roy was posted as CI and OC of Golakganj PS, while Inspector Ratul Haloi moved to Bilasipara PS. Changes were also made in Gauripur PS.

Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah confirmed the OC’s suspension and a DIG-level probe. However, AKRSU rejected the reshuffle, vowing to intensify protests unless justice is ensured.
