146 Bird Species Recorded in Kati Bihu Bird Count at Kaziranga

The Kati Bihu Bird Count 2025 at Kaziranga National Park recorded 146 bird species and 1,919 individual birds, including endangered Swamp Grass Babbler and Pallas’s Fish Eagle. Organized by the Assam Bird Monitoring Network, the survey covered five sites, with Agoratoli showing the highest diversity. Sixty-three participants, including women forest staff, joined the event to promote conservation and community awareness.
