CM Sarma Calls Zubeen Garg’s Death “Murder” in Assembly

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday called singer Zubeen Garg’s death a “clear case of murder” during the Assam Assembly’s adjournment motion discussion. He said the government classified it as murder from the third day of the SIT probe and added Section 103 (similar to IPC 302) to prevent bail for the accused.
Sarma confirmed seven arrests, overseas evidence collection, and digital forensic analysis. The charge sheet will be filed on December 8, and the government will seek fast-track trial.
Akhil Gogoi was suspended from the House during the debate for repeated interruptions.
