Zubeen Garg Death Case: Court Seeks Hard Copy of Charge Sheet, Next Hearing on Jan 3

The District and Sessions Court in Guwahati on Monday held the second hearing in the death case of Assamese cultural icon Zubeen Garg, with all seven accused produced virtually due to law and order concerns.

The court directed the Special Investigation Team to provide physical copies of the nearly 12,000-page charge sheet to the accused, who cited difficulty accessing the digital version. Members of the Lawyers’ Association raised concerns over inadequate infrastructure for prosecutors and demanded fast-tracking of the case. The next hearing is scheduled for January 3, likely to be held virtually.
