108 Ambulance Workers’ Protest Intensifies, Nearly 3,000 Join Agitation

The protest by the 108 Mrityunjay Workers’ Association intensified on Monday as nearly 3,000 employees joined the agitation, now in its 22nd day. The workers are demanding job regularisation, security till the age of 60, salary revision, and compensation for families of staff who die on duty.
Despite directives from service provider GVK to resume work and the reported dismissal of around 1,500 employees, the protest continued with strong participation from contract workers and families. Demonstrators used symbolic protests to press for resolution of their demands.
