Three Arrested in Assam for Supporting Bangladesh Lynching on Social Media

Amid statewide protests in Assam over the lynching of a Hindu man in Bangladesh, police arrested three individuals from Kamrup, Dhubri (Gauripur), and Sribhumi districts for allegedly posting and circulating content on social media supporting the killing.
The accused were booked for sharing inflammatory videos and posts endorsing communal violence. Police said investigations are ongoing to check possible links with extremist networks.
Meanwhile, protests demanding strict action and protection of minorities in Bangladesh were reported from several parts of Assam, including Tezpur, Sonitpur, Hailakandi, Nalbari, and other districts.
