Assam Govt Transfers 14 Officers in Pre-Poll Reshuffle

Ahead of the Assembly elections, the Assam Government on Wednesday ordered a major reshuffle, transferring 14 IAS and state service officers.

Sumit Sattawan, DC of Kamrup Metropolitan, has been posted as DC of Tinsukia, replacing Swapneel Paul. Aranyak Saikia has been appointed DC of Karbi Anglong, while Nirala Phangshopi moves to the Hill Areas Department.

DCs Aayush Garg (Sivasagar) and Mridul Yadav (Cachar), as well as Dibakar Nath (Dhubri) and Nabadeep Pathak (Bongaigaon), have swapped postings.

Masanda Magdalin Pertin has been shifted to the Finance Department, with Pankaj Chakravarty taking charge as Kokrajhar DC. Simi Karan becomes Tamulpur DC. Pubali Gohain is posted as Darrang DC, while Parag Kumar Kakaty moves to Golaghat. Pulak Mahanta has been posted as Inspector General of Prisons.
