Speeding Car Kills Two Pedestrians on NH-36 Near Panikhaity

Two pedestrians were killed and another critically injured after a speeding car hit them on National Highway 36 near Panikhaity Swahid High School on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3 pm when a Hyundai Venue allegedly lost control and rammed into the victims walking roadside.

The deceased were identified as Rejimul Haque (42) of Katani Gaon and Puja Laskar (17) of Hatigaon under Nagaon Police Station. The injured, Tahiruj Zaman, remains in critical condition. Locals expressed outrage over reckless speeding on the highway and demanded stricter enforcement and safety measures. Police have launched an investigation.
