Tiger Infighting Deaths Highlight Rising Density in Kaziranga

Three tigers have died in Kaziranga National Park within 20 days, all due to territorial infighting, raising concerns over increasing tiger density. The latest death was reported on January 18, following similar incidents on January 4 and 14. Experts say the park may be nearing saturation, as Kaziranga now has about 148 adult tigers and ranks third globally in tiger density. Conservationists stress the need for secure wildlife corridors to support natural dispersal beyond Kaziranga, while park authorities maintain that such infighting is a natural part of tiger ecology and ecosystem balance.
