CM Sarma Targets Gaurav Gogoi Over “Bor Assam” Remarks

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi, dismissing his “Bor Assam” remarks and questioning his connection with the state. Sarma alleged that Gogoi lacks familiarity with Assam and responsibility towards its people. He also highlighted the rollout of the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhitan scheme and announced Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Assam on January 29–30 for official programmes. Sarma further expressed confidence that the BJP will field a candidate in the Ranganadi constituency.
