United Opposition Protests in Guwahati Alleging Voter List Manipulation

The united opposition staged a massive protest at Chachal in Guwahati, accusing the BJP-led Assam government of attempting “vote chori” through voter list revision. Opposition leaders alleged misuse of institutions, erosion of democratic rights, and attempts to disenfranchise voters. They called for public unity and urged voters to defeat the BJP in the 2026 Assembly elections. Leaders from Congress, AJP, CPM, Raijor Dal and CPI(ML) participated in the protest.
