The Howrah–Kamakhya–Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper Express has received an exceptional response since the start of its commercial run in late January. According to Northeast Frontier Railway, the train has recorded over 100% occupancy on all days, with an average occupancy of about 128% between January 23 and 29. Bookings for the coming days have also crossed full capacity. Railway officials said the high demand reflects passengers’ preference for faster, comfortable overnight travel and highlights the strong tourism potential of this premium sleeper service.
