CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Addresses 95th Srimanta Sankardev Sangha Session at Tezpur

Lakhs of devotees attended the second day of the 95th annual session of the Srimanta Sankardev Sangha at Jyoti-Bishnu Samannay Khetra, Soibari-Naharbari, Tezpur. The day began with a cleanliness drive, Praatah Prasanga, Naam Prasanga, and a delegates’ meeting.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, inaugurating the open session, highlighted Srimanta Sankardev’s role in uniting Assamese society through Ek Saran Naam Dharma. He announced Rs 2 crore for translation of Sankardev and Madhabdev’s works, grants for Srimanta Sankardev University, Rs 12 crore for Namghar construction across Assam, and Rs 1 crore for the Tezpur Zilla committee Namghar.
