Another Tiger Found Dead in Kaziranga, Infighting Suspected

A male tiger, aged around 12–13 years, was found dead in Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve on Saturday, barely a month after two similar incidents. The carcass was recovered from the Burapahar Range, and preliminary post-mortem findings suggest death due to infighting.

Earlier in January, the carcasses of a young male tiger and a tigress were also found in different ranges of Kaziranga, with initial examinations pointing to infighting or natural causes. Park authorities have constituted committees in all cases to conduct post-mortems and dispose of the carcasses as per NTCA guidelines.
