Two Teen Students Killed in Road Accident in Sivasagar

Two 16-year-old students lost their lives in a road accident at Chiripuria Tiniali on the Gaurisagar–Dikhowmukh road in Sivasagar district on Tuesday evening. The victims, Priyanuj Bora and Rinku Ranjan Dutta, were returning home on a scooty when a Maruti Dzire, coming from the opposite direction, hit them while overtaking another vehicle.

Rinku died on the spot, while Priyanuj later succumbed to his injuries. The bodies have been kept at Sibsagar Civil Hospital for postmortem. The incident has plunged the district into mourning.
