AIUDF Releases First List of 9 Candidates for Assam Assembly Elections

The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) has released its first list of nine candidates for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections. The list was issued through a circular by party president Badruddin Ajmal on Monday.

According to the announcement, Aminul Islam will contest from Rupahihat, Rafiqul Islam from Mandia, Minakshi Rahman from Paka Betbari, and Abu Taber Bepari from Parbatjhora. Nizanur Rahman has been nominated from Gauripur, while Rejaul Karim Sarkar will contest from Srijangram. Matibur Rahman will stand from Dhing, Sabana Aktar from Bilasipara, and Siddique Ahmed from Lahorighat.

Party leaders said candidates were selected based on grassroots work, public outreach, and their ability to raise local issues. More candidate lists from political parties are expected in the coming weeks as the election preparations continue.
