Two Women Killed in Truck–Scooter Collision on NH-37 in Jorhat

Two women, identified as Kusum Guwala and Junmoni Guwala of Umabari, died on the spot after a speeding truck allegedly hit their scooter from behind on National Highway 37 at Baduli Pukhuri in Teok, Jorhat district, on Friday. The impact threw them onto the road, causing fatal injuries. The truck driver reportedly fled the scene after the accident. Police later arrived and started an investigation while efforts are underway to trace the vehicle involved.
