`Asam Sahitya Sabha Raises Concern Over Delay in Development of Zubeen Khetra

The Asam Sahitya Sabha has expressed concern over the slow progress of development work at Zubeen Khetra and plans to write to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Sabha president Basanta Kumar Goswami said that even six months after the death of cultural icon Zubeen Garg, proper development work at the memorial site has not progressed. He warned that the monsoon may further delay the work.

Goswami also said the site could become a major tourist attraction if developed properly. Meanwhile, the Sabha has begun efforts to translate Garg’s works into English, Hindi, and other Indian languages to preserve his legacy.
