CPI(M) Announces Two Candidates for Assam Polls, Confident of Victory

CPI(M) has announced candidates for two Assembly seats—Bhawanipur-Sorbhog and Goreswar—for the April 9 elections. Sitting MLA Manoranjan Talukdar will contest from Bhawanipur-Sorbhog, while Bapu Ram Boro has been fielded from Goreswar.

The party, part of the opposition alliance, expressed confidence in winning both seats and reiterated its aim to defeat the BJP in Assam.
