AIIMS Guwahati Inaugurates Advanced Blood Centre

AIIMS Guwahati has inaugurated a fully functional Blood Centre to strengthen transfusion medicine services in the Northeast. The facility was inaugurated by Executive Director Prof. (Col) Ashok Puranik in the presence of senior officials and faculty members.

The centre offers advanced blood collection, testing, component separation, and specialised apheresis services. A voluntary blood donation camp was also organised during the launch, where around 60 units of blood were collected.
