Shyamkanu Mahanta’s Wife Appeals for Peace Amid Ongoing Case

Anita Deka Mahanta, wife of accused Shyamkanu Mahanta, on Thursday appealed to the people of Assam to remain calm and allow the legal process to continue in the case related to the death of singer Zubeen Garg.

Speaking outside the court, she described the singer’s death as a major loss for Assam and said her family was also grieving, claiming Zubeen was closely associated with her husband.

She further stated that there was no concrete evidence against Shyamkanu Mahanta and alleged inconsistencies in the prosecution’s claims.
