Assam HS Result 2026 Declared; Science Stream Tops with 89.79% Pass Rate

The Assam State School Education Board on Tuesday declared the HS Final Examination 2026 results, with the Science stream recording the highest pass percentage at 89.79%. Commerce achieved 81.13%, Arts 79.54%, and Vocational 74.19%.

Out of 3.30 lakh applicants, over 3.22 lakh students appeared for the examination. Girls outperformed boys across all streams.

Among districts, Tamulpur topped the Science stream with 98.39%, while Majuli and South Salmara secured 100% results in Commerce.

ASSEB Chairman R.C. Jain said the Board has identified more than 100 consistently underperforming schools and shared the list with the Assam government for corrective measures.

The Board also announced reforms, including compulsory passing marks in all subjects, six mandatory subjects, and separate skill certificates for vocational students. Rechecking and readmission portals will open soon online.
