Assam Begins Integration of State Databases with NATGRID

The Assam government has started efforts to integrate several state databases with the Centre’s National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID) to strengthen intelligence sharing and internal security.

Following a review meeting chaired by the Union Home Secretary, Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota directed departments to identify and prepare databases for integration. Proposed databases include land records, crime data, utility billing, Smart City data, education records and beneficiary scheme details.

The initiative aims to improve real-time data access for law enforcement and security agencies across the country.
