Assam BJP Says NDA Government Began Fulfilling Poll Promises in First Cabinet Meeting

The Assam BJP on Thursday thanked the state government for beginning the implementation of its election promises in the very first Cabinet meeting after the NDA’s victory in the 2026 Assembly polls.

Party spokesperson Suranjan Dutta said the Cabinet decided to implement all commitments mentioned in the BJP’s Sankalp Patra over the next five years. Key discussions included steps towards the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), infrastructure development, administrative reforms, and faster recruitment for two lakh government jobs through a Special Task Force led by the Chief Secretary.
