Rare Black Panther Spotted in Assam’s Tinsukia District

A rare black panther was reportedly spotted at Raidang Tea Estate near Doomdooma in Assam’s Tinsukia district, creating fear and excitement among locals. The elusive animal was seen briefly before disappearing into nearby bushes, while a video of the sighting later went viral on social media.

Forest officials have intensified surveillance in the area as leopard movement has increased across several tea estates in recent weeks. Wildlife experts said the black panther is a rare melanistic form of the common leopard.
