Teenage Labourer Dies in Lightning Strike in Mazbat

A teenage labourer died after lightning struck a tractor allegedly involved in illegal sand transportation at Botabarigaon under Mazbat on Thursday evening.

The deceased was identified as Anam Mahato, a resident of Mazbat tea estate. According to local sources, he was working on a tractor carrying sand from the Botiamari river when the lightning strike occurred.

He was rushed to Mahaliapara Model Hospital in a tea garden ambulance, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
