Assam Rifles Conducts Major Anti-Insurgency Operations Across Manipur

Assam Rifles, along with Manipur Police and other security agencies, conducted a series of joint operations across multiple districts of Manipur between May 17 and 22, leading to the arrest of several cadres linked to banned outfits including KYKL, UNLF(K), PLA and KCP-T.

Security forces recovered a large cache of arms and explosives, including AK-47 rifles, SLRs, pistols, grenades, IEDs, ammunition and radio sets during the operations carried out in Imphal West, Thoubal, Kakching, Bishnupur, Tengnoupal and Churachandpur districts.

Officials said all arrested individuals and seized items were handed over to local police for further legal action.
