Assam Gets Land in Mumbai for New Assam Bhavan to Support Patients

The Government of Assam has been allotted around 4.8 bighas of land at Cotton Green in Mumbai for the construction of a new unit of Assam Bhavan, aimed at helping patients and attendants from Assam visiting the city for medical treatment.
The land was officially taken over by Devashish Sarma, who also serves as the Joint Resident Commissioner of Assam Bhavan, Mumbai.
Officials said the new Assam Bhavan facility will greatly benefit people from Assam, especially those travelling to Mumbai for treatment of critical illnesses like cancer.
