GMC Approves Naming and Renaming of Eight Roads in Guwahati

The Guwahati Municipal Corporation has officially approved the naming and renaming of eight roads across Guwahati after no objections were received from the public following a notification issued in February 2026.

Among the changes, Ganeshpara Champak Nagar Road has been renamed Montiram Daimari Path, while roads in Kahilipara, Rehabari, Dispur, Rukminigaon, Kushal Nagar, Bishnupur, and Geetanagar have also received new names. The move aims to formally recognize local personalities and landmarks through updated road names across the city.
