Gauhati High Court to Hear Siddhartha Sarma’s Bail Plea Today

The Gauhati High Court is set to hear the bail plea of Siddhartha Sarma on June 4 in connection with the alleged death case involving Assamese cultural icon Zubeen Garg.

Sarma approached the High Court after a fast-track court rejected his bail application. The hearing will be conducted by the bench of Justice Parthivjyoti Saikia. The case remains under investigation and has attracted significant public attention across Assam. Other accused, including Shyamkanu Mahanta and Shekharjyoti Goswami, have also been denied bail in recent weeks.
