Kaziranga Steps Up Flood Preparedness Ahead of Monsoon

With water bodies already saturated due to early rainfall, Kaziranga National Park has intensified flood preparedness measures ahead of the monsoon season. Authorities have deployed mechanised boats, speed boats, floating camps, animal monitoring systems and additional staff to ensure wildlife safety.

Special monitoring has been activated along NH-715, with a 40 kmph speed limit imposed to protect animals migrating to higher ground during floods. The park administration has also coordinated with district authorities, police, NGOs and local communities to strengthen flood response efforts.
