Five Shops Gutted in Massive Fire at Samaguri Market

A major fire broke out at Sivasthan Market in Samaguri late on Saturday night, destroying five shops and causing losses estimated at ₹50–60 lakh. Locals said the blaze erupted shortly after earthquake tremors were felt in the area, with many suspecting an electrical short circuit as the cause.
The fire spread rapidly, reducing shops and goods to ashes before they could be saved. No casualties were reported. Residents alleged a delay in the arrival of fire personnel from the nearby Sonaibali Fire and Emergency Services station. Authorities are expected to investigate the incident and assess the damage.
