Five Held for Alleged Daylight Assault on GS Road

Tension gripped GS Road after a youth, Simu Das, and a security guard, Pranjit Singh, were allegedly assaulted by a group of five individuals during an altercation. The accused were reportedly under the influence of alcohol and allegedly threatened and attacked the victims in broad daylight.

Passers-by intervened and detained the accused before police arrived. Dispur Police later arrested all five individuals and registered an FIR. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
