Four Sribhumi Jail Officials Arrested Over Contraband Supply to Inmates

Four officials of Sribhumi District Jail, including two assistant jailers and two warders, have been arrested for allegedly helping inmates obtain mobile phones and other prohibited items.

The arrests followed an investigation into a February raid led by SSP Leena Doley, during which authorities recovered 29 mobile phones, SIM cards, chargers and other contraband from the jail.

According to police, analysis of call records and communication data linked the accused officials to the illegal supply network. Authorities have launched stricter monitoring and surveillance measures while continuing the investigation.
