Gas Cylinder Blast Triggers Major Fire in Barpeta Market

Barpeta: A massive fire triggered by a gas cylinder explosion at Bhella Bazar, about 8 km from Barpeta town, destroyed six shops and left two people critically injured on Sunday morning.

The explosion reportedly occurred inside a broiler chicken shop, causing flames to spread rapidly through the market. The injured, identified as Babul Ali (50) and Fashiyar Ali (55), were rushed to Barpeta Medical College Hospital, where Babul Ali is said to be in critical condition.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control, while police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
