Assam Govt to Support Families of Freedom Fighters: CM

Jorhat: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the Assam government is considering support measures for families of freedom fighters who do not receive government jobs or pensions. Speaking on Swahid Diwas, he paid tribute to freedom fighter Kushal Konwar, praising his sacrifice and courage during the Quit India Movement.

Sarma urged the youth to uphold the ideals of martyrs and said their sacrifices laid the foundation for India’s democracy.
