Ranoj Pegu Meets Kuki Delegation, Assures Action on Settlement

Guwahati: Assam Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu on Saturday met a delegation of the Kuki Inpi and Kuki Students’ Organisation, Assam, which submitted a memorandum seeking early implementation of the Memorandum of Settlement aimed at ending insurgency and promoting the welfare of the Kuki community.

Pegu said the Tribal Affairs (Plains) Department is coordinating with the Home & Political Department on the matter and reiterated the Assam Government’s commitment to peace, development and the welfare of all communities.
