CM Proposes Single-Window Digital Platform for Homestays in Assam

Guwahati: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has proposed a dedicated single-window digital platform for homestays across Assam to boost tourism and make it easier for visitors to discover and book local stays. He said the platform would help promote homestays, eco-tourism and community-based tourism while providing greater visibility to local entrepreneurs.

Sarma also urged people to showcase Assam’s culture, cuisine and tourist attractions on social media, stating that the state has a strong opportunity to emerge as a global tourism destination following the removal of travel advisories by several countries.
