Traffic Constable Suspended Over Alleged Illegal Collection in Guwahati

Guwahati: Traffic police constable Rakibul Ali has been suspended after allegations surfaced that he collected ₹2,500 in cash from the driver of a Scorpio vehicle near Ganeshguri without issuing an official receipt.

Police said the vehicle had black-tinted windows, a traffic violation, but an inquiry has been launched after the vehicle owner alleged that the fine was collected illegally. The accused constable has denied the allegations.
