Olympic Values Programme to Reach Over 40,000 Schools Across Assam

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the state government is promoting discipline, teamwork and life skills among students through the Olympic Values Education Programme (OVEP). The initiative is being implemented in more than 40,000 schools across all 35 districts of the state.

The programme aims to encourage healthy lifestyles, social inclusion and values-based learning while helping students develop qualities such as respect, perseverance and leadership. The Chief Minister said the initiative reflects Assam’s commitment to holistic education beyond academics.
