Industry Experts Back E20 Petrol, Say Ethanol Rollout Was Scientifically Planned

New Delhi: Industry experts on Saturday said India’s transition to E20 petrol has been gradual, scientifically tested, and supported by extensive research. Officials from Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Toyota Kirloskar Motor and former Engineers India Limited chief Vartika Shukla said all vehicles manufactured since 2023 are compatible with E20 fuel, adding that the ethanol blending programme helps reduce carbon emissions and supports cleaner transportation.
