Congress Demands Supreme Court-Monitored Probe into Ram Temple Donations

Guwahati: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Sunday demanded a Supreme Court-monitored independent investigation into the alleged irregularities in donations received for the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

Addressing a press conference in Guwahati, Rajya Sabha MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh alleged financial irregularities in the temple trust and questioned the Centre’s reluctance to order an independent probe. He said the Congress would raise the issue in the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament and launch a nationwide awareness campaign.
