Teen Swept Away in Teesta River, Search Operation Underway

Baladoba: A 17-year-old boy, Jahidur Islam, went missing after being swept away by the strong current of the Teesta River while bathing near Baladoba, close to the Indo-Bangladesh border, on Saturday. Police reached the spot promptly, but locals alleged a delay in the arrival of the State Disaster Response Force rescue team. Search operations are underway, though the teenager remains untraced.
