Assam Budget to Present Government’s Five-Year Development Vision

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the state budget, to be presented during the Budget Session, will outline the government’s five-year development roadmap based on the BJP’s election manifesto. The budget will focus on agriculture, renewable energy, industry, MSMEs, employment and self-help groups.
Ahead of the session, the state cabinet approved the Assam MSME Facilitation of Establishment and Operations Bill, 2026, aimed at easing business procedures for small industries. Several other key bills, including those related to tourism, land, ease of doing business and the Guwahati Satellite City Development Authority, will also be introduced.
