Blood Transfusion Row at Dhubri Medical College Sparks Probe Demand

Dhubri, Assam: A controversy has emerged at Dhubri Medical College and Hospital after the family of a 61-year-old patient alleged he was given the wrong blood group during treatment.

Hospital authorities denied the allegation, stating that the patient received the correct O-positive blood and that the confusion resulted from a clerical labelling error at the blood bank. The patient’s family has demanded an independent inquiry, while the hospital has sought an external investigation to verify the incident.
