Women and Children Among Assam Flood Victims as Death Toll Reaches 31

Nine women and children were among the 21 flood-related deaths reported in Assam over the past 24 hours, taking this year’s flood death toll to 31. Over 5.65 lakh people remain affected across the state, with 872 villages submerged and major rivers flowing above the danger level. Rescue teams have evacuated more than 6,000 people, while relief operations continue in the worst-hit districts of Upper Assam.
