Two Arrested as Guwahati Police Seize Suspected Heroin, Codeine Syrup in Azara

Guwahati: Guwahati Police arrested two alleged drug peddlers during a joint raid conducted by the Special Operations Group (SOG), West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) and Azara Police Station at a shop in Mojoli.

Police recovered 15 vials of suspected heroin weighing around 20 grams and 15 bottles of Codeine Phosphate and Triprolidine Hydrochloride syrup weighing nearly 1,999 grams during the operation.

The arrested have been identified as Tiloka Kalita (40) and Debajit Kalita (29), both residents of Mukalmua. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to trace the source of the seized narcotics and identify possible links to a wider drug trafficking network.
