Kharghar, Navi Mumbai: Land has been handed over for the proposed Meghalaya House-II at Kharghar in Navi Mumbai, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma said.

The facility will support people from Meghalaya travelling to Mumbai for medical treatment, education, work, business and official purposes, while supplementing the existing Meghalaya House-I at Vashi.

Sangma thanked Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the state government for their support. He said the new facility could also serve as a platform to showcase Meghalaya’s culture, cuisine, handicrafts, tourism and entrepreneurship.
