GMC Orders Action on Waterlogging in Basisthapur

Guwahati: Assam Minister Kaushik Rai and GMC Mayor Mrigen Sarania inspected the drainage system at Sub-Path No. 2 in Basisthapur amid concerns over monsoon waterlogging.

Officials were directed to take immediate measures to drain stagnant water and strengthen preparations to prevent further waterlogging and urban flooding.

GMC Commissioner Chinmoy Prakash Phookan, Ward 41 Councillor Basanti Kalita Duwara and other officials were present during the inspection.
