Assam STF Seizes Heroin Worth ₹80 Crore, Punjab Man Arrested

The Assam Police Special Task Force (STF) seized 10.184 kg of suspected heroin, estimated to be worth around ₹80 crore, during an operation in Guwahati. A Punjab-based man, identified as Hardeep Singh of Ludhiana, was arrested in connection with the seizure.

Acting on intelligence inputs, STF personnel searched a flat at Om Residency in Chachal and recovered the suspected contraband from an almirah. A Mahindra Thar, mobile phones and other documents were also seized. Police have registered a case and launched further investigation to trace the drug network.
